Geoffrey D. Harcourt (1935) was trained at the Royal College of Art in London. In 1962, he designed his first series of small office chairs for Artifort. His designs introduced Artifort to the international market for contract design. Harcourt was one of many inspirational designers at Artifort, others such as Paulin, Ruth and Kho Liang Ie all contributed to the succes of Artifort.
